My Test Results Insta360 X5 and DJI Osmo 360
During my review of these two cameras, I set up both cameras and tested their actual battery life. From my battery test, Insta360 understated their battery life and DJI overstated theirs.
- Insta360 X5: 88-minute battery life (8K/30). The X5 stopped recording with 5% battery remaining.
- DJI Osmo 360: 92-minute battery life (8K/30). The Osmo 360 continued recording until the battery went to 0%.
When the X5 stops recording, you can still use the camera, with 5% remaining. When the Osmo 360 stops recording, the battery is completely dead.
The Bottom Line: These results show the battery life of both models to be essentially the same.
